USA vs. Lithuania

This was the biggest scare that the USA team has had in these games thus far. Unable to build more than a 10 point game throughout, in the closing seconds, the Lithuanian team drew within a point and then took the lead. Team USA remained calm and iced it down the stretch.

The crowd was chock full of Aussie fans - the Aussie team had played a semi-final game right before the USA game. As with most of the events here, the Aussie fans took an anti-US position and the Lithuanians had a tremendous amount of support.

Yet again, Dick Butkis was sitting behind me. I turned around, smiled and asked if he liked the wrestling he had been at the day before. He merely grunted at me. -- We figured he was pissed that we had better tickets for the basketball than he did...

These fans are dedicated... to what, though?

Aaron, Frank, Colin and I (Butkis was behind us...) With a few seconds left, it was all tied up...

Regroup for the final drive Celebration!

Colin and I celebrate like the Seppos we are (well, I am...) The final score... whew!
