Shot Put, 100m, 5000m |
| Today began the athletics competition. With
all of the hype leading up to this, it's sure to be an exciting time.
The USA took silver and bronze in the shot put, with a Fin claiming the top spot. Merion Jones and Cathy Freeman earned spots in the next round for the 100 and 400 meters. Donovan Bailey pulled up lame, but Maurice Green came through and advanced in the 100m. |
