Dream Team?

I took in a basketball game today, hoping to see what everyone's been crowing about. After a slow start and going down by 10 points to France, Alan Houston, Tim Hardaway and Kevin Garnett went to town. At times the match-up resembled a Globetrotters game with more aly-oops than you can shake a stick at.
The athletics competition that night had three huge events: Michael Johnson won a gold medal in the 400m, Cathy Freeman won the gold in the 400m and most importantly, my new favorite sport made it's gold mdeal debut: Women's Pole Vault. The USA took gold and Australia took the silver with Iceland on the bronze. Every single one of the competitors was absolutely stunning - I'm talking about models.

A cloud cover has taken over the Olympic city. Sydney has a hangover. After eight days of non-stop partying, this place is starting to slow down. I suspect that it will remain slow till Wednesday of this week, then the pace will pick up again for a final push towards the closing ceremonies.

Today's News:

My first Olympic basketball viewing today

Frank and I took a ferry ride to Manly - what a view!
The athletics competition was outstanding!
